Privacy
For Everyone
The short version is that Vayen doesn't know anything about you, and it doesn't try to. There's no account, no sign-in, nothing like that — it's just for you and nobody else.
When you paste a conversation in and get an analysis back, that text is sent to Claude using a HIPAA-compliant mode. We're not storing it, we're not looking at it, and it's not tied to you in any way. Once you close the tab, it's as if it never happened. For more on our views on generative AI, see this page.
If you want to save your results so you can come back to them, there's an option to do that — but it saves to your own browser, on your own device, not to any server we control. It's kind of like bookmarking something. We genuinely have no way to see it.
And if you'd rather use a private or incognito window, that works perfectly well too. In that case nothing gets saved at all, even locally — everything just disappears when you close the window. That's the most private way to use it, if that matters to you.
There's no tracking, no ads, nothing following you around. We built it this way on purpose because the conversations people paste into Vayen are often pretty personal, and we wanted you to feel okay about that.
For Legal
What we collect
Vayen does not collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information. Text submitted for analysis is processed transiently and is not retained after the session ends. No user accounts are created. No persistent identifiers are assigned.
Cookies and tracking
Vayen does not use cookies, tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or any cross-site tracking technology. No consent banner is required because there is nothing to consent to.
Local storage
If a user elects to save results, data is stored exclusively in that user's browser via the Web Storage API (localStorage). This data never leaves the user's device and is not accessible to Vayen or any third party. Users may clear this data at any time through their browser settings.
Third-party services
Vayen may use a third-party AI inference provider to process submitted text. In that case, the submitted text is transmitted to that provider solely for the purpose of generating the analysis. That provider is contractually prohibited from storing, training on, or otherwise retaining user-submitted content beyond the duration of the request. No identifying information accompanies the transmission.
GDPR (European Union)
Vayen is designed to operate without processing personal data as defined under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679. To the extent any personal data is incidentally present in user-submitted text, it is processed on the basis of the user's legitimate interest in obtaining an analysis (Article 6(1)(f)) and is not retained. Users in the EU retain all rights afforded under GDPR, including the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and portability. Because no data is retained, there is generally nothing to act upon — but inquiries are welcome at the contact address below.
CCPA (California, United States)
Vayen does not sell personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act. No personal information is collected for commercial purposes. California residents have the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale of personal information. None of these rights are implicated by Vayen's current data practices, but requests may be directed to the contact address below.
Children's privacy
Vayen is not directed to children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has submitted personal information, we will take steps to delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date below. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
